
One of the Embassy's mission targets is to provide services to citizens of Finland, to non-Finnish citizens with permanent residence in Finland and in certain matters also to citizens of another counrty.
Finns and non-Finns residing permanently in Finland are assisted in matters within the scope of the Consular Services Act. According to the Consular Services Act, a person applying for a consular service shall be advised and given guidance on how to proceed with his or her matter.
These services include issuing passports, providing notarial services (legalisations etc.) and assisting with legal issues concerning family matters, citizenship and military service. Furthermore, the Embassy organises advance voting abroad.
The Embassy assists Finnish, Estonian, Lithuanian and Latvian citizens and citizens of those EU-countries which do not have representatives in Nepal in cases of emergency and distress.
The consular section assists non-Finnish citizens with entry permit (visa and residence permit) questions.
